In 1st Timothy 6:18 says, They are to do good, to be rich in good works, generous, and ready to share.
That verse describes the team who worked tirelessly in Romania and Moldova July 7th through July 21st.
We had dentist's, a hygienist a pediatrician, nurses and students help bring physical and spiritual healing to those in rural villages who had little access to care.
Each day we traveled to new locations and efficiently set-up our clinics.
The clinic's were often in churches and people would come, not only for medical or dental care, but much needed eye glasses too. Sometimes, people would ask for prayer, and many times I'd see a team member reach out, take their hands, bow their heads and pray for them.
As a way of saying thanks, were served very generous and delicious meals by church members and on the last clinic day we were given beautiful handmade cards thanking us for traveling so far to bring much needed help to their community.
Our trip was made extra special because Angel Naste and his brother Octaviu not only drove us safely to our destinations, but made sure we had plenty of water to drink, kept our equipment working, made arrangements all the for our hotels and twice were treated to a wonderful meals hosted by Aniel, his lovely wife Ana and Aniel's parents.
As the team traveled throughout Romania and Moldova we would take out our phones to capture the vast fields of beautiful sunflowers. We even stopped once, got out of the van and took photos of us standing in the filed. I am grateful for the work the team accomplished, the fun we had, the new found friendships and know many of us will make plans for future trips with CERT International.

This was my first time being a "team leader" and I couldn't have asked for a more perfect team.
Even when we tired from the long days, we made time for fun. For some of you, this was your first rip out of the U.S. You showed compassion for not only the people we served, but for ourselves as well. Thank you for sharing your stories of faith. I hope to meet you some day and perhaps on another mission with Cert International.
