My last trip with CERT was Romania in 2016. I reconnected with CERT because I have a friend dentist who was seeking a volunteer opportunity that would be "rewarding". This is my 6th volunteer trip with CERT which started in 2005 to the Andes in Peru and this Moldova trip 2025 is the BEST by far. The unchanging God continues to call me to Himself, to obedience and childlike trust. In Romania, I had 60+ extractions on my last day alone in Bazna village. In Moldova, I had a total of 20+ extractions in 4 villages in 4 days, 1 day of no surgery. I had time to think and reflect on life, God's ways, His goodness and faithfulness. This trip I unlearn things that I could not unlearn in the comfort of my dental home of 44 years. Day 1, a dental patient had a medical emergency and another young dental patient had an unresolved dental problem in the absence of parental consent. Day 2, a teammate had an unexpected setback. I am humbled the Moldovans trusted me to care for their physical needs. I pray the family of God in Moldova experienced the bigness of God’s Love and Kingdom, as we all await King Jesus' return and all things will be made NEW. The Team [younger] was superlative!!! I believe, handpicked by God manifesting Divine Providences in the unexpected events and places. Prayers of the saints are palpable throughout the trip.Team Leader Kathleen, deftly responded to routines and challenges with calm assurance and uncompromising care of each team member.
